If someone tells to you about the best beaches to the Mediterranean, you can be assured, it is a question of Montenegro!

Budva, MontenegroMontenegro, on the geographical position, belongs to the central Mediterranean which is Southern Europe. In the southeast, it borders on Albania. In the south, it is separated from Italy by Adriatic sea, the western neighbours - former Yugoslavian republics Croatias and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The name of Montenegro (the Mountain Is black) was, possibly, is received from dense "black" woods which in medieval times covered mountain Lovchen and other Alpine areas of "old Montenegro”. The historical and cultural centre of Montenegro is the city of Tsetine.

The coastal strip of Montenegro is stretched along Adriatic sea from a mouth of river Bojana in the east to Herceg Novi in the west. This strip is separated from a continental part of Montenegro by mountains Dinarski which some tops tower on 1700 metres above sea level and prevent influence of sea winds on a continental part of Montenegro. In a coastal zone the temperature in July fluctuates from 23 C to 26 C. Summer usually long and dry, and winter - short and without deposits.

Extent of sea coast of the country makes 293 kilometres, 73 from which occupy 117 beaches, the best for rest in Montenegro. Basically beaches sandy or mixed with the smallest pebble similar to buckwheat groats. For example, the beach in Bechichi in far 1936 has been recognised by the best beach of Europe! Galechnye and artificial beaches (a concrete platform) are located in Tivate, Gertseg-Novi, the Bar, Igalo.

At hotel "Grandee Avala" building in centre Budvy necropolises have been opened Roman, and under it and Greek. Rich gold and silver ornaments, glasswares and ceramic vases have been found. It was one of the greatest archaeological opening in these parts of the world. In city walls and today there is St. Ivan's church of VII century, church of the Benediktinsky monastery Santa Maria in Point 840 years, and the church of the Sacred Trinity with a belltower on three bells has been constructed in 1804. Medieval towers and serf strengthenings which surround Old Budvu, not only a historical monument and interesting places for tourists, but also space for artistic action.

Budva the cultural centre of Montenegro tourism, in the summer known local and European executors of classical music here gather, and the city life turns to magnificent, colourful festival of music and dances. One of sights Budvy — a stone table and a chair. In the summer sitting at this "furniture", poets read the opuses. In July-August an ancient fortress the Citadel which is in an old city, becomes a scene for performance of theatrical companies from Serbia and Montenegro, and also from other countries. Here there passes annual festival "Hailstones-theatre".

At numerous restaurants dishes national and an European cuisine are offered. Among the most popular places it is necessary to note following restaurants: “Stari Grad”, “Galev”, “Chinese Restaurant”, “Porto”; cafes-bars: “Picaso”, “Pushkin”, “Inglish Pub”; discos: “Trocadero”, “Raj”, “Rafaelo”.

In July over Budvoj the sun shines on the average 332 hours and consequently this city is considered the most solar not only on Adriactic Sea, but also in all Europe, and the life here does not stop for a minute!
