If someone tells to you about the best beaches to the Mediterranean, you can be assured, it is a question of Montenegro!
Montenegro, on the geographical position, belongs to the central Mediterranean which is Southern Europe. In the southeast, it borders on Albania. In the south, it is separated from Italy by Adriatic sea, the western neighbours - former Yugoslavian republics Croatias and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The name of Montenegro (the Mountain Is black) was, possibly, is received from dense "black" woods which in medieval times covered mountain Lovchen and other Alpine areas of "old Montenegro”. The historical and cultural centre of Montenegro is the city of Tsetine.
The coastal strip of Montenegro is stretched along Adriatic sea from a mouth of river Bojana in the east to Herceg Novi in the west. This strip is separated from a continental part of Montenegro by mountains Dinarski which some tops tower on 1700 metres above sea level and prevent influence of sea winds on a continental part of Montenegro. In a coastal zone the temperature in July fluctuates from 23 C to 26 C. Summer usually long and dry, and winter - short and without deposits.
Extent of sea coast of the country makes 293 kilometres, 73 from which occupy 117 beaches, the best for rest in Montenegro. Basically beaches sandy or mixed with the smallest pebble similar to buckwheat groats. For example, the beach in Bechichi in far 1936 has been recognised by the best beach of Europe!
