Surprising Indonesia is located more than on 17 thousand slices of a land, big and small. This unique state on islands. Today we will tell about island Bali - a pearl of Indonesia.

Bali – island of thousand temples and one of the smallest islands of Malay archipelago. It settles down between Silent and Indian oceans, between peninsula Malaysia and island New Guinea. From island Java of Bali it is separated by narrow passage, from east neighbour – passage Lombok (Wallace's line) in the width 30 km. Mountain lakes (the largest Batur and Bratan have a volcanic origin) feed the rivers flowing by the central and southern parts of Bali, and irrigate uncountable rice fields. On Thon (Na Thon)
It is a city-port known for the wonderful declines (in a photo just one of them). Official bodies, immigration department, glavpochtamt, the main police administration and offices of the basic banks - all it is here. The island Samuj (Koh Samui) is the third on size island of Thailand, it is located at east coast, in the middle of a gulf, and is an archipelago part, where islands Tao (Koh Tao) and Phangan (Koh Pha-Ngan) also enter.

Inhabitants Hajnana, island which now belongs to China were the first poselentsami on island. poselentsy began to grow up cocoes on the coconut farms, and till now on Samue collect the big crops of cocoes. However now the basic source of incomes for inhabitants of island is a tourism where they earn much more, than sale of cocoes. Inhabitants of island name themselves chao Samui, instead of tajtsami, at them the culture and the kitchen which is distinct from other islands.

The island Samuj became popular among tourists from the West in the beginning of 80 years, and now during the high season here it is a lot of to people (a tourist season on Samue - from December till February, and also July and August). To read completely »
